Steve Walsh

Director; CED and Governance Committee

Steve Walsh joined the EBRC Board in 2010. He has a law enforcement background with 34 years as an OPP Officer in various postings across Ontario, including his last position as a Detachment Commander for the Wellington County OPP. At this post, Steve spent 10 years handling one of the largest OPP contracts (15 million dollars) in the Province. He also gained valuable experience in politics, dealing with all levels of government, including seven mayors, county officials, three local MPs, and three MPPs.

While in Wellington County, Steve owned a sheep and cattle farm and was a Director with the Wellington Federation of Agriculture, which is an organization that works for area farmers’ economic, environmental, and social well-being. Adding to his experience, Steve also managed several rental properties and participated in running a store at the executive level.
