Susan M. Gardner

Susan Gardner is Executive Editor of Municipal World, a monthly magazine dedicated to promoting good local governance across Canada. Each month, she helps readers explore new concepts, innovations, and best practices; ideas she hopes they can distil and synthesize to apply in their own communities. Susan holds a Master of Public Administration in Local Government from the University of Western Ontario, and the AMCT designation of the Association of Municipal Managers, Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario.

Susan researches, writes, and speaks on sustainability issues and frameworks for the municipal sector. She is also a member of the Smart Growth Canada Network Advisory Board, a national organization founded that helps advance the implementation of smart growth and sustainability principles across the country.
