Youth business grant opportunity

Granting Criteria
Each year applications from Elgin County youth entrepreneurs are reviewed and Elgin Business Resource Centre- Helen LeFrank Entrepreneurial Youth Fund Grants are awarded based on the following criteria:
- Youth is here defined as age 29 or younger. (No minimum age for applicants)
- Grants are to support youth entrepreneurial activity and/or business start up.
- Applicant must be a resident of Elgin County, and priority will be given to applicants whose business is located in Elgin County.
- Applicants will be required to complete the Application form, and are also asked to provide a short business outline. A formal business proposal is not required.
- If selected, applicant must be willing to work with a business mentor for a period of 1 year at no cost to the applicant.
- If selected, applicant must be willing to attend a minimum of 1 business workshop at no cost to the applicant.
- Part time and seasonal businesses are eligible.
Grant amounts are usually between $200 and $1000.
